Mar 2008 (from article): Breakthrough technology transforms direct internet to TV broadcasting, creates the new last mile
Potent Catalyst in Industry’s Transition to Global IPTV
Digital Utilities Ventures, Inc. announced that it had successfully tested and is launching its breakthrough Direct Internet to TV Broadcasting System.
Called The New Last Mile, it uses an Internet based platform to deliver its TV programming. All the viewer needs is a broadband connection, either fiber or Wi-Fi,
to the Internet to tap into the Digital Utilities Network. Then, acting as a virtual cable company, it piggybacks on the existing broadband connection to stream
live programs of broadcast quality from anywhere in the world over the Internet directly to TV audiences and Cell Phone subscribers without having to build out
proprietary fiber optic lines to homes…and it can do this using under 1 megabit of the Internet as the backbone to the television set or cell phone.
“This new network technology is a scaleable, server-based system that can be integrated into a wireless or wireline environment,
said Digital Utilities’ President, Garry McHenry.
The advantages to telecoms and cable operators are significant:
•They can dramatically increase their customer reach by eliminating the requirement of a total network build out, including a last mile link to the consumer, while
•Improving profitability and customer retention by offering subscribers a full range of digital communications services coupled with unlimited content access.
The IPTV World Forum – The Company successfully demonstrated its technology at the IPTV World Forum in March of 2008 in London and is in discussions with leading
communications companies such as SingTel, Asia’s largest communications group with operations and investments in more than 20 countries and territories around the
world. SingTel recently submitted its bid to the government of Singapore to design, build and operate the active infrastructure of Singapore’s Next Generation
National Broadband Network.

July 27, 2009: SingTel in Talks with Digital Utilities Ventures to Integrate New Last Mile into Expansion Drive
Digital Utilities Ventures, Inc. (Stock Symbol: DUTV), an innovator in over the IP video transport systems with its breakthrough New Last Mile Platform, announced
today that it is in discussions with SingTel, Asia's leading communications group, to integrate it's technology into the Company's infrastructure expansion drive.
A key issue is growth in content. SingTel sees Digital Utilities Ventures' (DUTV) New Last Mile Platform with its unique compression system as an answer to this
challenge.
The Coming Content Tsunami - IDC estimates that 161 Exabyte's of digital content was created and copied in 2006; in 2010, that number could grow as high as
988 Exabyte's (an Exabyte is one thousand petabytes; each petabyte is one thousand terabytes, each terabyte is 1000 gigabytes. With this explosive growth,
telecoms will be forced to upgrade the Last Mile , the most expensive part of their networks to keep pace.
The New Last Mile uses an Internet based platform to deliver its TV programming. This means that DUTV can deliver live programming of broadcast quality from anywhere in the world over the Internet directly: -- To TV sets without the aid of computers (IP ready) by simply
piggybacking on existing broadband connections, and
-- To cell phones worldwide via WIFI, Mobile Telephone Switching Office
(MTSO) 3G networks, and the emerging next generation 4G WIMAX.
In effect, creating the first global "Virtual Cable Television Network".
"We have a solution that reduces the amount of bandwidth needed for viewing videos without many tens of billions of dollars worth of new fiber-optic networks,"
said Garry McHenry, President of Digital Utilities Ventures (DUTV). "Our New Last Mile Platform deploys a unique patent-pending compression system that delivers
programs to the Television audience and Cell Phone subscriber using under 1 megabit of the Internet as the backbone to the television set and 150 kilobits to the
cell phone." "This allows for high resolution programming regardless of screen size to be transported to both TV and Cell Phone screens." "Equally important, this
compression component of the New Last Mile is also an add on to existing networks to maximize the current bandwidth they have."

the potential to transform consumer experience by effectively revolutionizing IPTV into a media-aware network that manages scale and complexity by incorporating a high
level of virtualization, and enables generation of new revenue streams by service velocity."
He continues, "The evolution toward all-IP-based content delivery will transform virtually all aspects of cable networks, from the development of hybrid set-top boxes
to modular cable modem termination systems and video head ends. To some extent such a transformation has already begun with the interest in cable IPTV, so by 2015,
it can be anticipated that most of the major cable service providers will be deploying some form of IP-based video delivery systems as part of their cable networks.

......seemingly came to a halt w/some information, tweets, investor relations and etc dissappearing. I don't know of American TelCom company signed on yet.
The VOIP issue that Sunny raised with the VG link may have been part of the hold up, but there could also be other reasons.
Any one have any ideas as to why dutv has gone silent? I don't see the dilution and the fact that dutv has maintained compliance speaks well.
There may be a gag order, but what would be a reason for removing information? I would think the partnerships would have to do with the US.....(maybe all the major carriers here).
Thanks to all that help to think things through....at least giving it a shot, (we could still be wrong)
