Re: Sunnybank #4290

The port last used by Bao was Tianjin, which is very close to the Koreas- 40-43* lat - Tianjin is 42-43 etc- 43* is most N China port-same defacto for japan

what did I post as great circle distance to Ningo-ca 5400 miles-to go to Anchorage would probably add several thousand miles to the trip

so the question is-if the "other inventory" was fert w a different destination such as Anchorage Alaska, where they would get a very good price for fert, would it be cost efficient to add that much mileage for the 23000 tons other inventory, when the main cargo of 45000 tons reg ore goes directly to China, instead of just shipping more reg ore to bao on same ship--which might not be a quick option becuase of the length of time it takes to negotiate orders w chinese

it might be-it wouldnt be for only 8000 tons other cargo that we originally thought might be on ship in addition to cwrn's ore when we assumed all the product was reg ore

the only situation where i might see that is if cwrn, after having won its suit agst govt re ore at port, had to get the port ore out of there quickly- and the Ilia was the only ship available quickly, and they needed to fill up the additional capacity and just happened to coincidentally just set a buyer up for 23000 tons fert in Alaska

but the other situation is that the captain keeps reporting Ningbo as the destination the entire trip w an ETA of exactly the right number of days for a crossing straight from Ensenada- without that joyride to Alaska-- so we have conflicting info (reported by the same site) and dont know what set of info is the correct one
