iTalk Inc. signs Letter of Intent to acquire Global Toll-Free Service Provider My800online, Inc.
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- iTalk Inc. (OTCQB: TALK) (OTCBB: TALK) ("iTalk" or the "Company"), a global provider of advanced communications and mobile broadband services, is pleased to announce that it has signed a Letter of Intent to acquire My800online, Inc., an established global residential and business toll-free telephone service provider.
"Through this acquisition, we plan to increase our cloud based product coverage to provide our existing and new customers with more of the necessary tools and capabilities to effectively compete in a rapidly expanding technology marketplace," stated David F. Levy, Chief Executive Officer of iTalk Inc. "Not only does the expansion into toll-free services benefit existing and new customers of iTalk, but it also builds upon and strengthens all other aspects of the iTalk global communications business in general. We look forward to completing this and several other complementary acquisitions in the near future."
The successful acquisition of My800online would add another high-demand global communications tool to the growing iTalk family of telecom products and services. Once considered a novelty, toll-free telephone numbers are now a staple of business communications strategies to garner new customers and retain existing ones. The use of a toll-free service will enhance business productivity and increase customer satisfaction by allowing customers to reach the business anytime, anywhere, and at no charge. Research has clearly shown that toll-free numbers build credibility with consumers - 90% of Americans say they use toll-free numbers on a regular basis - 86% of customers will associate a toll-free number with the quality of the business products or services.
This potential acquisition remains subject to, among other things, iTalk Inc. and My800online, Inc. completing customary pre-closing due diligence and entering into a Definitive Agreement. The Definitive Agreement is expected to be signed by all parties on or before the end of June 14th, 2013. There can be no assurance that any transaction will be completed as proposed or at all.
