Sochi Olympics: Baltia Airlines may be an option in my opinion, Especially when the Moscow route gets established in my opinion.
Almost all scheduled international flights to Sochi currently leave from Moscow, Russia or Kiev, Ukraine. Aeroflot Russian Airlines and S7 fly from Moscow. Ukraine International Airlines offers non-stop service to Sochi on Boeing 737 aircraft from Kiev. As of today, every single seat on Ukraine International Airlines Flight 595 to Sochi on February 5, just before the start of the 2014 Olympics, is available. The capacity was just made available for booking recently, so this won’t last, but there should be some seats available through this summer.
Availability on flights from Moscow is good, but going quickly. There are only three seats left on both of the Lufthansa -S7 flights from Frankfurt via Moscow with departures on February 5. This budget roundtrip fare from Frankfurt is only $474. Budget round-trip fares from North America are between $1,365 and $1,550 from the Northeast U.S. and Canada and around $1,700 from West Coast gateways. The polar route to Moscow gets travelers to Sochi in about 17 hours from major North American gateway cities .
