Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental Brands Open First Location in Uruguay

MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY--(Marketwired - May 30, 2013) - Enterprise Holdings has announced the opening of the first location in Uruguay for its Alamo Rent A Car and National Car Rental brands. The office at Av. Rondeau 1719 in downtown Montevideo is the first to open under a franchise agreement with Olecram SA, a leading transportation company based in Montevideo. The fully renovated branch will serve the business and leisure travel needs of National and Alamo customers, respectively, throughout the city.

Additional locations are planned for the Montevideo airport as well as in the exclusive resort destination of Punta Del Este , both at the airport and in the city-center, and in the historic city of Colonia .

The partnership between Enterprise Holdings and Olecram enables both companies to better meet customers' needs. It also marks Enterprise Holdings' entry into the Uruguayan market and completes the company's footprint in South America's "Southern Cone" region, consisting not only of Uruguay, but also Argentina, Chile and Paraguay. In addition, another franchisee, São Paulo-based Unidas , has opened Alamo and National locations at major airports in Brazil .

"Customers in Uruguay can now experience the dependability, affordability and convenience of the Alamo and National brands," said Peter A. Smith, vice president of global franchising for Enterprise Holdings. "Our new location in Montevideo is the latest example of how we are working together with our franchise partners to expand options for travelers throughout South America."

Dr. Martin Grande, Director of Olecram, stated, "We are pleased to bring business and leisure travelers in Montevideo the kind of service they have come to know and trust from National and Alamo. We look forward to serving customers throughout Uruguay in the months and years to come."

Currently, through its regional subsidiaries, Enterprise Holdings owns and operates the National Car Rental, Alamo Rent A Car and Enterprise Rent-A-Car brands in North America. The company also operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand in the UK, Germany, Ireland, France Spain, Portugal and China, and a comprehensive network of National and Alamo locations throughout the Americas.
