NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 28, 2013) - Atlantic Records has announced the upcoming release of "LETTERS I NEVER SENT" from GRAMMY®-nominated singer/songwriter/producer Philip Lawrence. The eagerly anticipated album arrives everywhere on June 11th.
"LETTERS I NEVER SENT" marks an extraordinary solo debut for Lawrence -- best known as one-third of The Smeezingtons, the award-winning songwriting/production team also comprising Ari Levine and the one and only Bruno Mars. Songs such as "Just Breathe" reveal Lawrence's own remarkable gifts as singer and performer, immediately establishing him as a striking new artist (see below tracklisting). All tracks were written by Lawrence, in collaboration with GRAMMY®-nominated nominated guitarist/producer Jean-Yves "Jeeve" Ducornet (Santana, 2Pac) and songwriter Michael Diskint.

Lawrence, who has always been a fan of folk and rock music, found himself inspired by artists like Billy Joel, Seal and Lenny Kravitz while creating his own sound in "LETTERS I NEVER SENT."
Lawrence and The Smeezingtons have proven among pop's all-time most prolific and popular songwriting/production units, earning countless awards and "Producer of the Year, Non-Classical" nominations for two consecutive GRAMMY® Awards. The team burst onto the airwaves in 2008, creating hits for such artists as Natasha Bedingfield, K'naan, and Matisyahu, but truly came into its own two years later with a series of unstoppable #1 singles including B.o.B's "Nothin' On You (Feat. Bruno Mars)," Travie McCoy's top 3 smash, "Billionaire (Feat. Bruno Mars)," and CeeLo Green's worldwide sensation, "F**k You."
As if that weren't enough, The Smeezingtons were also behind the board for Mars' own 2010 solo debut, "DOO-WOPS & HOOLIGANS."
