Suspect Detection Systems Fulfills Order for Additional Cogito Units for Screening Airline Employees in Latin America
NEW YORK, July 18, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Suspect Detection Systems Inc., (OTCBB: SDSS), a developer of counter terror and crime prevention technology, announced today that the company fulfilled an order by a private company specializing in airport security in Latin America. The repeat order for additional Cogito 4M rapid interrogation units is being utilized to increase the frequency and number of screenings of employees of major international airlines.
The order of additional units is a direct result of the successful implementation of the technology during a recent large-scale commercial pilot.
As previously reported, Cogito technologies has successfully screened several thousand aviation employees in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina as well as smaller countries in Central America. The Cogito automated rapid interrogation system was used to determine whether any of the employees harbored criminal intent to aid in or commit an act of terror, or to similarly harm a plane or another of the airline's interests.
In addition to increasing the number of Cogito units, the security company has undertaken to refer the technology to other private security agencies in the field.
"Cogito continues to impress security agencies in the public as well as the private sector," said Gil Boosidan, CEO of Suspect Detection Systems Inc. "Our technology is effectively ensuring that airline employees pose no threats to the overall safety of numerous international flights and airport terminals."
"We are very optimistic that Cogito can be implemented in much larger scale and by several other private companies in the near future," Boosidan added.
