DBV.V holding a large position of this one, just in the beginning stages and from what I hear some very influential mine developers are behind this one. Not easy to get funding in this market, should be a major player within a year or two.
50 km northwest of Telegraph Creek north-western BC. Situated in the Stikine District that includes the large Galore Creek, Schaft Creek, Red Chris, and Kutcho copper deposits that collectively have 7.65M tonnes copper, 14.9 M oz gold and 148.5 M oz silver in measured and indicated resources.
Situated in the Stikinia tectonic terrane of middle Mesozoic volcaniclastic formations and related alkalic intrusions that parallels and is analogous to the Quesnellia terrane that hosts the Princeton-Highland Valley-Gibraltar-Kemess, et al. copper deposits
Property formations are members of the Stuhini Group of island arc-related andesitic to basaltic volcanic rocks and derived clastic sedimentary rocks of Upper Triassic age, and small intrusive bodies of dioritic and gabbroic composition. Structural alignment of both formations and intrusions is north-westerly.
- Chalcopyrite-Pyrite in Diorite/Gabbro and Hornfels – strong historic soil geochemistry and induced polarization survey data indicative of alkalic porphyry-style deposit. Possible dimensions – +1 km diameter at surface. Requires further geochemical sampling (in progress) and geophysical surveys (induced polarization) followed by drilling.
- “Float” boulders Samples
- +4,000 ppm Cu, 660 ppb Au
- 7,336 ppm Cu, 885 ppb Au
- Soil Samples
- Up to 2,184 ppm Cu, 300 ppb Au
- Up to 5,150 ppm Cu (Utah Mines Ltd. 1970)
- Strongly Gossaned Hydrothermal System with silica/carbonate alteration, low metal values, dimensions exposed: 1.5 km east-west by 125 metres vertical, may be the upper part of a “Buchanan” model vertically-zoned epithermal system, highly prospective for gold and silver at shallow depth. Requires induced polarization surveys followed by drilling. Potential: high grade gold-silver deposit that can be mined from surface or underground.
- Hoey Copper-Gold Zone – copper mineralization in strongly sheared gabbro and adjoining sedimentary rocks. Sulphide mineralization has been shredded by shearing. Historic gold assays up to one oz/ton; copper, to 2.5%. Also cobalt values. PGMs not investigated. Requires detailed mapping followed by drilling. Potential: high grade copper-gold deposit.
Hat Copper – Gold Porphyry Project: First Priority Drill Target
- Porphyry Copper Gold Exploration Target
- Significant Historic Geochemical Copper anomaly in soil (Approx. 900m x 500m)
- Historic Utah Mines Geophysical IP Survey is coincident with current Geochemical Surveys
- In 2011 Company confirmed Historic Cu -Au Targets with MMI Sampling Survey
- Historic Gold in Rock as High as 8.6 g/t and Historic Copper in Rock as high as 4.8%
- Property is permitted for Drilling from 2012 to 2015.
- Doubleview is planing a 2500m drilling program in its the first phase of exploration in 2012
