I believe its naïve to think the plaintiffs haven't done all their homework and anticipated what TECO will no doubt try to use as a defense.
I just got of the phone with the administrator of the case. It was done by mail for 300 bucks... The mail came from Memphis TN.
It was done Pro Se and the plaintiffs don't have an attorney.
The Federal Court will not allow this case to continue unless there is a attorney hired to represent them. You will have to have an attorney to fill the paperwork here on out.
Lets see if they have any money and will they will show for court.
Now TECO must file an answer. The answer will be that TECO has no debt on these claims. Then the claimants will have to show the claims are valid, such as a judgment.
The court will want to know how the claims came about and have the claiments been thru proper channels tring to collect. Have they even sent a bill. Was the rig repoted stolen to the proper authorities. Show title to the rig. Show registration.
