Mobile Robot Companies GeckoSystems-US and iXs-Japan Sign MOU
CONYERS, Ga., May 15, 2013 -- GeckoSystems Intl. Corp. (Pink Sheets: GOSY | http://www.geckosystems.com/) announced today that their Pacific Rim business development representative, Mr. Hajime Yasumatsu, Chairman, Yasu, Inc. recently secured a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between GeckoSystems and a premier Japanese mobile robot company, iXs, Ltd., Yokohama, Japan. For over fifteen years GeckoSystems has dedicated itself to development of "Mobile Robot Solutions for Safety, Security and Service™."
This MOU is significant due to iXs' stature as an exporter of several robotic systems and subsystem products that are sold globally. Further, iXs designs and manufactures its own line of humanoid robots in addition to components for their domestic Japanese robot industry. GeckoSystems is in discussions with companies around the world who are interested in using GeckoSystems' mobile robot solutions to produce a variety of cost effective, truly utilitarian Mobile Service Robots (MSR's).
GeckoSystems believes that collaboration with iXs will facilitate the development of products in Japan and strengthen the reputation of the company in Asia. Having the support of both iXs and ZMP confirms GeckoSystems' expertise to potential joint venture partners and licensees in the Pacific Rim. This is GeckoSystems' fourth signing of an NDA and MOU with a Japanese personal robot company in the last three years. Earlier, Business Design Laboratory Co., Ltd. Those discussions continue.
GeckoSystems has chosen to not patent its numerous AI software paradigms and algorithms due to the extreme difficulty of identifying those that have illegally used those proprietary breakthroughs. Consequently, as a further means of risk management and comprehensive protection of the Company's IP, the recently signed MOU reinforces the earlier executed NDA with this clause: "...both parties completely agree that MSR safety is of the greatest importance in the utilization of MSR technologies.
All MSR technologies shared by both parties in any manner will be treated with the utmost secrecy and respect..."
