The CEO of Celgene is trying to corner the market in blood oncology and autoimmune disorders like psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Their scientific advisors are watching with great interest all clinical trials but especially those that are working on a treatment for psoriasis.
Their lead drug, apremilast, has had mixed results but has a few of the necessary requirements for the ideal anti-psoriasis drug.
Its orally active, it has potent action at blocking TNF ( tumor necrosis factor), proinflammatory mediators including interleukin-2 (IL-2), IL-12, interferon-gamma, TNF-alpha, leukotrienes, and nitric oxide synthase.
It has mild to moderate side effects.
Unfortunately, it works in about only 40 % of psoriasis patients and has cost hundred of millions to develop.
It may get FDA approval late this year, maybe... But there is something better out there (Prurisol)
They are very interested in Prurisol and will make a bid soon.
I think a fair price is 30 dollars per share just for Prurisol.
You may not be able to put a fair price on the true value of Kevetrin !!!
