pretty sure that crane is new -I never saw it before either=part of the ports expansion program-need to add an extra berth as they said in 2008 they would do by 2009-which would require widening dock on far end because the breakwater currently limits the depth at any berth at far end-see port nautical graphic I posted

also since those 2008 plans? port plans on creating a new commodities or EIT terminal north of the current port-they do need more room-how tall would you estimate ore piles to be when you saw them-from pic looked like piles were separated into at least 4 piles?

where is Embarcadero - NE or E or SE from ore?
