‘Friends of Syria’ to Back Post-Assad UN Force, Diplomats Say
The U.S. and allies from the “Friends of Syria,” meeting today in Tunisia, will ratchet up pressure on President Bashar al-Assad by announcing plans to deploy United Nations peacekeepers after his ouster, diplomats at the talks said, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
