Nokia Again Changes China Region General Manager
BEIJING, May 07, 2013 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Official news from Nokia said that Erik Bertman will take the place of Gustavo Eichelmann as general manager of China Region. The appointment will take effect from June 1, 2013.
Erik Bertman has worked in dozens of nations including the US, England, South Africa and Russia. Before coming to China, he began taking charge of Russian business from 2009, managing the marketing and promotion in Russia, Ukraine and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Besides, he has also taken charge of financial works of Nokia.
Nokia pointed out that Erik Bertman is very familiar with the retailing market and business with carriers and has been executive in leading multicultural teams.
It is the fourth time for Nokia to change its head for China Region within three years, leading to worry about its future in the nation. However, the company believed that the most difficult time has passed away and the top management change will not affect the business development in China Region.
