rdkl18, I have read dozens of press releases regarding Triton and Lake Volta and they nearly all talk about the need to harvest trees at a depth of 180 to 240 feet. This is why Triton built their sawfish first. The sawfish has a capability of going down to around 480 feet if needed, but the cables and air hoses become very difficult to handle at that depth. However, I encourage you to research their system and report back what you find. In my opinion, it is always good to keep up with the competition. Also, try to see if you can determine the degree of flexibility their system has. From what I can find, it has merely a straight up and down movement, and requires the operator to maneuver directly over the tree to be harvested.
