Important info about site #3.
First, it is a known treasure site. Treasure has already been found on the site. For various reasons, Seafarer is not yet releasing the name of the wreck. Seafarer prefers to confidently ID the ship with their own crew and archeologist with items they recover before releasing the name of the wreck.
Second, Phase 1 and Phase 2 of this wreck are already complete. 5-year permits from ACOE and DEP have 4 years remaining on them. Therefore, we are going straight to phase 3 with our application for site #3.
Third, the application has been written by the legend Dr. John De Bry, the world renowned archaeologist who has traveled the world and has worked closely with the state of Florida for years.
Fourth, the application for a phase 3 recovery permit on site #3 has now been sent by Seafarer to the state of Florida for acceptance. Once we receive approval, we will proceed to dig and recover on site 3. No delay from ACOE. No delay from DEP. Straight to hardcore recovery of treasure.
Good news all around.
