There is nothing about TECO news that has ever been "funny", "fast" or "accurate" so why wouldn't the past PRs deserve some criticism. I personally don't care if they ever PR again and all news ends up on Facebook or their website. I care more about performance and increased revenues and the PPS. In their defense I've come to learn the oil business isn't a fast or accurate business to begin with. As far as patience for PRs or news goes; TNC was suppose to be completed with these two wells by end of March. Remember the CC announcement "80-100 BPD by end of March to make the company cash flow positive". Good or bad results needs to be forthcoming asap but not out of impatience for a PR; news needs to come out for survival as a company and making up for much lost time! Do you think TECO went subpenny because they were quick to act or was it because they were slow to act? In my opinion the company hasn't backed off PRing; they just haven't had much to PR and have learned a lesson in how to gain credibility i.e. don't PR bullchit! The way to gain credibility is to PR facts and follow through with announced milestones and then provide closure to those milestones whether good or bad results. Over the years they would PR the smallest equipment order or PR these grand plans and then leave shareholders hanging onto every word without closure. Anotherwards TECO wanted to make themselves look like they we're accomplishing something and possibly sell shares throughout 2011-2012 but not forefill what they set out to accomplish or to let shareholders know the outcome. That is what I consider "having their cake and eating it too". If it takes them another month to collect and analyze results on the Mitchell project before PR'ing "CREDIBLE" data and news then so be it. What's another month in the scope of years? I just hope the PPS can sustain current levels in the meantime.
