GLEN ALLEN, Va., April 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Star Scientific, Inc. (NASDAQ: STSI) announced today that the Company's second cosmetic product, Anatabloc® Revitalizing Facial Serum, is now available for sale on GNC's website (www.GNC.com). The product was launched last month on the Anatabloc® skincare website (http://skincare.anatabloc.com/). GNC began carrying the Company's first cosmetic product, Anatabloc® Facial Creme, on its website in February of this year.

The Anatabloc® serum is specifically formulated to penetrate the skin and target specific skin concerns, including, wrinkles, firming, age spots, and discolorations. Regular application of the serum can significantly improve the appearance of the skin. The serum is designed to be used prior to the application of Anatabloc® Rare Cellular Facial Creme.

The clinical trial is being supervised by Dr. Susan H. Weinkle of Bradenton, Florida, an experienced and respected practitioner and clinical investigator. The other two investigators are leading dermatologists, Dr. Mary Lupo of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Dr. Diane Berson of New York City, NY. As of today, the study has enrolled over 100 subjects and screening is now closed.
