Just about every piece of dirt in TX except the Alamohas been logged.  thats how the shale in south Tx was found in 45 year old seismographic  work that had been on the shelf forever.  We might do better with a researcher than a geologist.  Oh by the way the guy that found that was an english major  whose dad was a geologist.  He was working on a masters at UT in geology and never finished because he was about become very rich.
