All reasonable questions. Let me see if I can clarify a few things.
First, good job reading the log files. I'm sure the days spent actually digging were few and far apart. I have not looked at them. Mechanical problems continually plagued the boat for most of last year. One single problem was not really the issue. I'm not a mechanic so I won't/can't go into specifics but if you rebuild the engine, that is a big help, if you put on the right sized propellers, that helps, if you replace the Turbos with the correctly sized turbos, that helps even more, if you clear out the cooling system so the engine doesn't overheat, that is another big help. See what I mean? Not all of these thing were done at once. So as they were done, the Maiden continued to get better and better. I'm not sure if these were all the things done, I just know that it is much better now than it was last summer AND even better now than it was in January or February. I think the last thing was the turbos.
Last summer, about as deep as they could go was around 50 feet. NOW they expect to go as deep as 80 feet.
Now, if they did dig in January/Feb, they did not dig where we are going to dig now. Why did we not dig right in the middle of that collection of mag hits? I don't know, ask the ex captains. Might be part of why they are ex captains and not current captain. Sasha is now our captain and he will do exactly what Kyle asks and Kyle wants to go to that grouping so that is what we are doing as soon as the weather allows us to. So Juno is certainly not at a halt at all.
Does that make sense?
