New independent Geologist is a good idea since there are too many scamsters in the oil business ready to take your money and then just to tell you what you want to hear vs the truth.  I can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather take a butcher's word for it. Same goes for hiring a Geologist.
