Plenty of funding coming from all over the world for programs to find alternatives to prevent deforestation of the amazon.......At COP 16, the German bank donates 18 million euros for the Amazon Fund.
Amount equivalent to U.S. $ 51.5 million will fund initiatives fund.

Agreement signed on Tuesday (7) during the Climate Conference of the United Nations COP 16 in Cancun, Mexico, inject 18 million euros (about U.S. $ 51.5 million) in funding from the Amazon Fund projects.
The budget was approved by a donation agreement signed by the National Bank for Economic Development (BNDES) and the German Development Bank (KFW).
