So what do we think the chances are that SFRX will no longer have to split the Juno treasure with Tulco now that Laird is "out of the picture"? And when I say "out of the picture" I mean kicked the bucket, walked the plank, dead.
Looks like SFRX should now get 80% and the state 20% instead of splitting the 80% with Tulco. And, no, SFRX will not lose the ability to dig or recover because the permit is in Kyle's name.
And Juno is expected to be a 600-700 ton ship with a payload of about 225 tons. That's a lot of treasure!
So far on Juno they've found:
Massive anchor
Literal tons of ballast stones made of serpentine or some cheap Jade (fancy ballast stones)
Huge sharpening stone
3 different sizes of cannon balls and stone cannon balls (the high tech cannon balls of the era)
Lots of sheathing
4-foot nails
Pottery from mid 1500s
A massive clump of mag hits the size of small cars grouped together under the sand where no one could get to it for the last 30 years of "digging". Aka no one has looked in this spot yet because it is hard to do. Last year the Iron Maiden did not have the power to dig deep enough. Now it does.
A captain whose only mission in life right now is to find out what is in the middle of that big clump of mag hits.
Our wait is almost over.
