Stora Enso Oyj was informed on 25 April 2013 that the number of shares in the Company held by Norges Bank (The Central Bank of Norway) has decreased below 5% of the paid-up share capital and the number of shares in Stora Enso Oyj following a share lending transaction on 24 April 2013 in which Norges Bank is the lender.

With reference to Chapter 9, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act, Stora Enso Oyj is reporting that as of 24 April 2013 the shareholding of Norges Bank is as follows:

The holding of Norges Bank has been calculated according to the share capital registered on 24 April 2013.
