I know some talk that they would like to see Hollund do a promotion, with the idea that a promotion would somehow increase stock prices. However, I am not one of those people wishing and waiting for a promotion. In my opinion, there is only one reason penny or sub-penny stock companies spend money to promote their stock. It is so they can sell their own stock. Often, dupes will buy into the story that, "We're just trying to increase shareholder value." We heard that a lot from companies like MMTE, TTXP, BOPT, and FXPT. Nearly every investor in those companies walked away as bag holders. I challenge anyone to find a penny stock that has been promoted and maintained it's increased share price for more than a few days. What I have seen is that share prices of a promoted stock obey the law of gravity 100% of the time. In my opinion, there is only one way to permanently increase shareholder value, and that is through hard work and legitimate company results. While paid promotions increase the number of corporate shares, electronic awareness is generally neutral.
I currently like HIMR, and continue to support it, because HIMR management (with the guidance of NorthCal) is not pumping out fluffy press releases, and they are not doing paid promotions. What I suspect Hollund is doing, is using electronic media to raise awareness within the investment community, and within the timber and lumber industry. Imagine the value of HIMR stock if a major timber company should take notice and decide to order our machine. Can you say to the moon or higher?
