American Diabetes Association Opens Call for Nomin

ALEXANDRIA, VA--(Marketwired - Apr 24, 2013) - The American Diabetes Association , the nation's largest and leading voluntary health organization leading the fight to Stop Diabetes®, has opened the call for nominations for the annual National Service Achievement Awards.
The National Service Achievement Awards are among the American Diabetes Association's most noteworthy and coveted recognition opportunities. These awards present outstanding volunteer recognition in seven different categories ranging from lifetime service in the cause of diabetes to excellence in health communications.
They include:
- C. Everett Koop Medal for Health Promotion & Awareness
- Wendell Mayes, Jr. Medal for Lifetime Service
- Public Policy Leadership Award
- Ross Hickey Award for Outstanding Service in Diabetes Research Funding
- Addison B. Scoville Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service
- Excellence in Health Communications Award
- Health Professional Award for Volunteer Service
