Coming up: Jobless claims, U.S. import prices
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) – The U.S. Labor Department will release weekly jobless claims and the U.S. import price index for June at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Applications for unemployment benefits are projected to decline to 365,000 in the week ended July 7 from an initially reported 374,000 in the prior week, according to economists surveyed by MarketWatch. The price of goods imported into the U.S., meanwhile, likely fell 1.9% in June. Import prices declined 1.0% in May.
