undreds of smiles and flashing lights flooded the upper level of Universal City Walk this past Sunday night, where 'Punch TV' held their celebratory red carpet event.
Founder of 'Punch TV', Joseph Collins, and The Jon Lovitz Comedy Club welcomed the Punch TV Network family, friends and media to celebrate the historic launch of the Network's Los Angeles Affiliate on KTAV channel 35.6.
The long list of familiar faces included 'New Edition'’s Johnny Gil, Dorien Wilson ('The Parkers', 'The Steve Harvey Show'), Claudia Jordan ('Celebrity Apprentice'), and Tiffany “NewYork” Pollard.
After the excitement of the red carpet slowed down, guests were invited inside the venue where they relaxed and mingled with talent and executives off the carpet in a more social setting.
Comedian Black Kasper, host for the evening, warmed up the packed venue with a hilarious introduction to 'Steele', and several other musical performances. Joseph Collins then took the mic to give an energetic and inspiring speech about the journey of Punch TV and his excitement for the success the network is seeing today.
The remainder of the show celebrated the growth of the network, which is one of the fastest growing among urban viewers ages 18-54. The network completed the 2012 year with 38 partner stations and reached over 60 million U.S. homes.
The celebration continued after the show, where guests were given gift bags and invited to a post-show mixer sponsord by M Cigars.
