Thanks to SLICRIC50 for posting some of comments I was texting to him. I forgot to post this copy/paste from my notes. Apologies if these are redundant.
Of our group of 8 Hangout people at the Up Front, 130 million shares were represented. Most indicated they rarely or never sell their shares. None of us came away thinking of selling shares. In fact most if us will probably keep buying if possible. Maybe we can play a small role in stabilizing the mood swings of this stock? I digress.
One of the things that came up was the niche we create for small potatoes advertisers and content providers. The big networks have closed their doors to them so Punch steps in and earns money by giving them a platform to get the word out. Then they'll use the money from that to build our network. I spoke with 50-60 people last night about why they were there. I wanted to make sure they weren't just seat fillers. Everyone I talked to had some product or service to provide to Punch, be it for content or advertising or whatever. Singers, artists, businessmen, etc will use Punch to launch their gigs and we'll take their money because the other networks won't. He knows how to pump a crowd.
Our leaders were very well received and did themselves proud. Would have liked to have heard more from Steve but he was busy glad-handing and Hobnobbing. Lots of TV interviewing and posing. The contacts they are making and the contacts already made boggle my mind. These guys know freaking everybody.
If they want a measly 50k a year plus conditional stock for the Rev I'd call that more of a sacrifice on their part than overcompensation.
GMP, you talk about asking tough questions to Steve. I don't see you making much effort to do that. You ask loaded, ill-advised questions to the board as if you're talking to Steve but if you really wanted answers you'd ask him yourself instead of hiding behind a screen name. It's obvious that your goal is to adversely influence those who are vulnerable to your claptrap. You need to get a real job like shining my shoes.
