Harbor Island Development Corp. Signs National Print Marketing Agreement with Merlin Technologies, manufacturers of GeeWhiz(R)
CHESTERFIELD, Va., Apr 15, 2013 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Harbor Island Development Corp. (OTCBB: HIDC), (the "Company"), through its wholly owned subsidiary BrandSeed Media Services LLC. ("BrandSeed"), a multi-channel direct marketing service provider, today announced that the Company has signed a print marketing agreement with Merlin Technologies, the manufacturer of GeeWhiz(R), a patented incontinence device currently sold nationwide through primary care physicians, hospitals and direct to the consumer.
The GeeWhiz(R) Incontinence Management Device (IMD) is also known as an external male condom catheter. Protected by 5 issued and other U.S. patents pending, and Medicare billing approved, GeeWhiz is a medical device for men with urinary incontinence, an involuntary loss of bladder or bowel control. According to International Continence Society, urinary incontinence affects 200 million people worldwide of which one-third are men.
Actor and producer, William Shatner, has endorsed the GeeWhiz with an innovations award that has aired nationwide on television and radio. BrandSeed intends to launch a nationwide print campaign for GeeWhiz in various newspapers and nationwide print publications with millions of readers and is able to utilize the Shatner endorsement in its future ad campaigns. The Company believes the print marketing efforts will create awareness of this innovative product and will offer an alternative to diapers for millions of men suffering with urinary incontinence issues.
