Many thanks, Junebug, for your extremely interesting post. I'm just sorry that you haven't made it to Italy so far, but I'm glad you were able to visit a good selection of major European countries, only being disappointed by France.
Let me add that I have learned a lot here in a short time, and hope that HIMR will meet our expectations this week!
