I've been wondering about the wait also-especially as only 8.8% of 1 vein was deeper drilled.
All I can think is the Chinese are very methodical/measured/take their time-which is certainly true re their negotiations-as they claim to be the oldest civilization and like to wear opponents down.
I've negotiated deals which took many years with non-Chinese people-so it takes an awful lot of patience-a 2 steps forward,1 step backward type of negotiation process (just my own knowledge).
Chinese continue to run out of economical iron ore, averaging less than 20% ore now (pbs? documentary-at a cost of 150/ton-agmetalminer 12-13-10) and as low as 4% (pbs doc), often in underground mines(pbs doc), so they are very familiar w beneficiation plants.
