Please note, we will be changing the OTC contest rules slightly. The open price will be the alerted price, unless the open price is below the alerted price.
Example:
You alert XYZ at $0.0008 and the stock opens Monday at $0.0005, the $0.0005 becomes the alert price for the contest.
If the alert price is below the open price, then the open price becomes the alert price.
Example:
You alert XYZ at $0.02 and the stock opens Monday at $0.05, the $0.05 becomes the alert price for the contest.
We will test this rule change this week. My thinking is that this will make the contest fair by preventing abnormal gains in which MVP'ers could not possibly buy the stock at the alert price and realize the gains. This is especially important on thinly traded, low float stocks that can fluctuate significantly based on the MM spreads.
Any questions? Ask it on the board, so that all MVP'ers can present their opinions so that we can adjust the rules to satisfy the most amount of MVP'ers.
