Photos: Crick's Nobel Medal Sold for $2M The1962 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine awarded to Dr. Francis Crick sold for $2.27 million, including a buyer's premium, on April 11, 2013 through Heritage Auctions. Jack Wang, the CEO of biomedical firm Biomobie in Shanghai, who flew into New York for the auction, was the highest bidder. Drs. James Watson and Maurice Wilkins were also awarded the Nobel Prize for the discovery of DNA.
