$IAGM .034 News out IAG's SoFit Continues Collaboration With Life Fitness and Augie's Quest, Displays at FIBO in Germany
TORONTO, ONTARIO, Apr 11, 2013 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- InterAmerican Gaming Inc. ("IAG" or the "Company") (PINKSHEETS: IAGM) is pleased to announce the continued alliance with Life Fitness. The Company's operating subsidiary, SoFit Mobile Inc. ("SoFit") has developed a new social gaming platform for the health and fitness industry.
After the February 19, 2013 announcement of SoFit's collaboration with Life Fitness, a leader in the integration of fitness and technology, members of the SoFit team attended the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association ("IHRSA") trade show in Las Vegas in March of 2013. SoFit demonstrated the soon-to-be live integration with Life Fitness cardio machines, where trade show goers interacted with the Augie's Quest to Cure ALS Challenge using the exclusively previewed user interface for Version 2.0. With participants adding miles on a dedicated treadmill, a total donation of $3,972 was raised in 7 hours for the Augie's Quest Challenge.
Following the success of the IHRSA trade show, SoFit was invited to further demonstrate its application with Life Fitness at the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness & Health ("FIBO") in Germany, from April 11th to 14th, 2013. Offering the world's best overview of the market, FIBO brings together more than 600 companies from over 35 countries to display innovations & trends for fitness centers, wellness facilities, doctor practices, physiotherapy practices, and more. This show will garner exposure for SoFit to the European market, and during the show users will continue to log miles on the Augie's Quest to Cure ALS Challenge to work towards our goal of a $10,000 combined donation with Life Fitness to Augie's Quest.
"As the first fitness equipment manufacturer to open its platform to outside developers, Life Fitness is very excited to be working with SoFit on this integration," says Anthony Morelli, Technology Product Manager for Life Fitness. "The SoFit app demonstrations and Augie's Quest Challenge drew significant attention from the global industry audience at IHRSA and we anticipate further excitement from the international community at FIBO."
Mr. Marc Askenasi, President & CEO of IAG, stated:
"Collaborating with Life Fitness has been an absolute pleasure. Combining SoFit's rewards, charitable offerings and gamification elements with the quality, diversity and distribution of Life Fitness' cardio machines, consumers are offered a rich and rewarding workout experience."
