Hospital disinfection technology, AsepticSure, to be distributed nation-wide by Wood Wyant, Canada’s largest distributor of sanitation products
Victoriaville, Quebec, April 11, 2013, Medizone International, (MZEI:OB) (MZEI:QB), the manufacturer of AsepticSure hospital disinfection systems , and Wood Wyant Canada , a subsidiary of Sanimarc Group , jointly announce that Wood Wyant has become a National Hospital Distributor of AsepticSure in Canada.
Wood Wyant is national in scope and regional in focus, serving Canada from 16 diverse locations across all 10 provinces, providing both sales and service to the hospital market.
Patrick Couture, V.P. of Business Development for Sanimarc Group commented on the addition of the Medizone product line for National distribution in Canada by Wood Wyant. “Of all the emerging “no touch” disinfection systems for the hospital market – and this includes UV light systems, robotics, hydrogen peroxide and ozone-based technologies – our research of current product claims shows that no other disinfection technology achieves a sustainable >6 log (99.9999%) broad spectrum kill of HAI-related bacteria – including spore formers – on both hard and soft surfaces, while ensuring room content remains safe and residue-free.”
Mr. Couture continued, “HAI’s (Hospital Acquired Infections) are recognized as a leading cause of death, globally. In Canada alone they inflict more than 10,000 deaths annually. As the use of AsepticSure becomes widely accepted throughout the Canadian hospital market, we’re extremely ‘bullish’ that the incidence of HAI for both patients and staff will diminish dramatically. On both peer-reviewed and in-the-field evidence thus far, AsepticSure clearly has the potential to be a paradigm changing product.
“At Wood Wyant, our business plan is focused on aggressive market growth between now and 2020, and AsepticSure appears to be an excellent fit for us with respect to the achievement of these goals.”
Edwin Marshall, Medizone International’s CEO added, “At Medizone we believe Wood Wyant will prove to be an excellent partner for us in the Canadian market. They’ll not only be handling the marketing and sales of AsepticSure ‘coast to coast’, but they’ll also be providing after-sales technical support, maintenance and equipment training as well.
“Medizone has delivered an initial order of 5 systems to Wood Wyant and we currently have 10 more systems in manufacturing. Wood Wyant’s sales targets are pretty aggressive, and the need for a disinfection system of AsepticSure’s caliber is obviously great. Given this combination of factors, we look forward to a mutually rewarding and successful partnership.”
