This week split politics and AI fundamentals. Democrats swept Congress, then Thursday wiped about 2 trillion dollars off Nasdaq market cap (S&P 500 -4.4%, Nasdaq -5.5%, semis about -12%). AMD and Micron each sank about 17%. Underneath, AMD grew revenue 45% with data center sales nearly doubled, Arm hit a record and IonQ raised guidance with backlog near 1.2 billion. The 10-year fell to about 4.84%.
I stay invested in semis and memory, add slowly on weakness, and treat this as multiple compression rather than a demand break. Soft payrolls today are the last big macro test of the week.
