On October 15, EMAT announced the arrival of 13 of 57 containers of additional ULVAC magnet-production equipment in Pohang, South Korea.
Once installed and commissioned, the additional equipment is expected to increase annual magnet capacity from approximately 1,000 to 10,000 metric tons, including about 6,000 metric tons of high-performance sintered magnets.
This expansion builds on an established foundation:
• Customer-qualified sintered NdFeB grades
• Experienced operators and commercial production
• NdPr feedstock sourced outside China
The commercial significance extends beyond adding machinery. Higher output must meet the same demanding requirements for magnetic performance, quality, and consistency.
Our focus: bring additional capacity online, scale consistent production, and deliver for customers across automotive, wind energy, aerospace, and defense.
