You can't just turn the switch back on---- Modern pharmacy clearinghouse networks require continuous API maintenance, active processing volume, and stringent HIPAA compliance and cybersecurity audits. When maintenance stops, clearinghouses terminate connection privileges. Today, enterprise pharmacy chains enforce rigorous vendor screening; a non-SEC reporting sub-penny shell flagged with a "Shell Risk" designation fails basic institutional HIPAA and vendor compliance checks, making network reactivation practically impossible.
Rebuilding a clearinghouse integration requires serious capital. The cash outflows for IT infrastructure, software licensing, HIPAA audits, and legal retainers would show up under R&D or Operating Expenses in quarterly disclosures. Likewise, any actual transaction routing would immediately register as verifiable revenue.
Yet, there are no public, active NCPDP provider credentials or commercial FDA Drug Establishments/National Drug Codes (NDCs) under Univec, Inc. ($UNVC), CentennialRx, or 11Three.
At this time, all they have in the market is an OTC CBD pain patch. Could a complete overhaul happen? Anything is possible over a 3-to-5-year horizon, but it would require extensive audited reporting, substantial capital raising, and full regulatory re-certification first.
