Award places flagship IPA among the leading American-style IPAs in the United States; management also evaluates a substantial reduction in authorized shares

WATERTOWN, N.Y., October 23, 2026 - 1812 Brewing Company, Inc. (OTC Markets: KEGS) (the "Company" or "KEGS" today announced that its Thousand Islands IPA earned a Silver award in the American Style IPA category at the 2026 World Beer Awards.

The World Beer Awards named Samuel Adams New England Juicy the United States Country Winner in the category, while Thousand Islands IPA was recognized as the sole Silver winner. The results place 1812 Brewing Company's IPA among the highest-rated American-style IPAs entered from the United States.

"Being recognized alongside one of the most established names in American brewing is a tremendous honor for our entire team," said Tom Scozzafava, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of 1812 Brewing Company. "This award reflects the care, craftsmanship and consistency that go into Thousand Islands IPA, and it reinforces our belief that beers brewed in Northern New York can compete at the highest level."

Company Evaluating Significant Reduction in Authorized Shares

Management also announced that it is evaluating a substantial reduction in the Company's authorized shares. Depending on the sustained market price of the Company's common stock, management is considering reducing the authorized share count to 500 million shares or potentially as low as 250 million shares.

"The recognition earned by Thousand Islands IPA reflects the strength of our operating business and brands," said Scozzafava. "As we continue building that business, we are also evaluating opportunities to align our capital structure with the Company's long-term objectives. Subject to sustained share-price performance and all required corporate approvals, we are considering reducing our authorized shares to 500 million, or potentially as low as 250 million."

No final decision has been made regarding the amount or timing of any reduction. Any action would remain subject to management and board approval, applicable legal requirements, and the Company's assessment of its future capital needs.
