look up the history of keytruda pembrolizumab, its very relevant - strangely i remember the news in this era where the efforts to activated ones own immune system to fight disease was openly scoffed at as silly or impossible. the only way to treat, according to the establishment, is to carpet bomb with toxic substances. keytruda was an interesting accidental discovery at oganon (looking to develop a PD-1 agonist, and found the PD-1 antagonist), a company that was focused on fertility, contraception, and anesthesia. then organon was acquired a few years later by schering-plough in 2007, pembrolizumab being afterthought and no where near a primary IP for the acquisition, and before it could be explored further, schering-plough was acquired by merck in 2009. all pretty quick. keytruda got bounced around in the background for years. could have easily been permanently buried. it wasnt developed until bristol-myers squibb's PD-1 inhibitor (Opdivo) was making headlines and immunotherapy became the new buzzword that the executives knew they might have a similar drug and a bigtime winner. we all know now that keytruda has outsold all the other IP in all 3 of those companies combined. by a drug and a mechanism that was called snake oil, a scam, and nonsense by everybody except the true warriors.
this is amazing its an hour and worth every second. cant wait for the leronlimab version. -

leronlimab has had a similar brush with oblivion. such a waste in a very much flawed system. with a lot cocky of hot air. an acquisition potentially worth billions per year on just one of tens of very possible indications would be theft.
