American Fusion (OTC: AMFN) announced that Chief Technology Officer Dr. John E. Brandenburg completed a technical analysis describing the proposed plasma-formation, compression and confinement approach underlying the company proprietary Texatron (TM) Fusion Engine (TM). The analysis outlines a theoretical framework in which a powerful magnetic pulse compresses plasma within a rifled toroidal chamber, with the goal of achieving the temperature, density and confinement required for fusion.
American Fusion said its current testing focuses on consistently producing plasma and measuring temperature, density, magnetic-field strength, compression and confinement while evaluating the effects of chamber geometry on plasma behavior. Texatron (TM) is being developed to use deuterium and helium-3 as fusion fuels with the objective of directly converting fusion energy into electricity. The company noted that fusion ignition, net energy gain and direct electrical energy conversion have not been demonstrated and remain development objectives.
