I think the good doctor makes a good point: as important as the LL trifluridine-tipiracil (TAS-102) and bevacizumab part of the trial is, the rollover protocol is another very important part of the trial. The LL combo ICI part means that the story won't be fully known until the patients on LL plus Keytruda get their results well after January. So this trial will continue after that with many potential success points: LL with backbone, LL alone, PD-L1 upregulation, ctDNA, LL with Keytruda, and so on.
In addition, there is the City of Hope CHAMP trial, mTNBC EAP, Pre-I-SPY, I-SPY, and the mTnBC phase 2 trial. Plus Alzheimers Phase 2A and HIV baby cure. Plus various studies starting, and the funding to do them all. Many irons in the fire.
