American Fusion (OTC: AMFN), a developer of advanced fusion-energy technology, announced results from its latest series of experiments involving its proprietary Texatron(TM) fusion-energy technology, reporting that a new high-voltage pulsed magnetic-field configuration produced toroidal plasmas that were hotter and denser than those generated in earlier high-current experiments while remaining stable against significant magnetohydrodynamic instabilities during the experimental pulse. The company said the observations support key elements of the Texatron(TM) concept, which uses rapid magnetic compression and shock heating in a pulsed approach to fusion, and plans further testing focused on quantitative measurements of plasma temperature, density, magnetic-field strength, compression behavior, confinement time and stability as it works toward deuterium-helium-3 fusion-relevant operating conditions.
