$HHSE NEWS: Fueled by Early Production Successes, Hannover House Takes Major Steps to Rebuild Hemdale Studio Brand

Announcement

Ambitious production slate of eleven features includes four titles that Company considers as Major Tentpole Releases.

Hannover House, Inc. (OTC: HHSE), the 33-year-old indie studio distributor, has big plans for the newly resurrected Hemdale Film Corporation brand. With co-production ventures, incentives and private funding in place for eleven feature projects, Hannover House thinks Hemdale can rapidly ascend to its prior glory as a multi-Oscar winning studio.

“Several of our new productions have the right elements and star casting to rise above the pack and draw awards attention,” said Eric Parkinson, C.E.O. of both Hannover House and Hemdale Film Corporation. “We held back from re-launching the Hemdale brand for over 25-years, due to our commitment that we have the right mix of socially-meritorious content, commercially-appealing stories and box office proven stars for projects to bear the Hemdale brand. Several of our current projects – especially 17N Conspiracy – meet all of these goals and seemed destined for greatness,” he concluded.

Hemdale Film Corporation was founded in 1967 by promoter John Daly and actor David Hemmings. The company was a prolific producer of higher-end independent movies, and to this day, remains one of only two companies to ever win the Best Picture Academy Award two years in a row (in Hemdale case, for “Platoon” and “The Last Emperor”). Eric Pakrinson joined Hemdale in 1991, and as CEO, he built a top home video label that paid down the company’s prior debt by over $58-million dollars. Ultimately the Hemdale Film Corporation library was merged by Credit Lyonais Bank into MGM-UA, and the brand shuttered all activities in 1997. Parkinson went on to several studio consulting assignments before purchasing Hannover House in 2002 and adding video products to the company’s book publishing lines. Parkinson re-incorporated Hemdale in 2023 with the goal of finding quality films that are both commercially pleasing and likely to become critically meritorious.

The production slate for Hannover House and Hemdale branded films includes projects currently in production, others in active pre-production and titles in development for production during calendar year 2027. Projects currently in production include:

INDIAN TERRITORY – an epic, period western about the final weeks preceeding the Oklahoma Land Rush of 1889 – written and directed by Eric Parkinson.

JOLLY – a Christmas-Thriller using both traditional animation steps and the newest software technology – written and directed by Arthur G. Night.

NATIVE FABLES – a collection of five stories of Native American history or cultural significance, from Cherokee writer-director Christopher Coursey.

Feature projects in active pre-production for commencement of principal photography in 2026 or early 2027 include:

THE 17N CONSPIRACY – a powerful and insightful story of the rise and fall of the democratic revolution in Greece, from writer-director Giorgos Papatheodorou.

TEMPUS PORTA – An audience pleasing adventure in Malta with elements of “Indiana Jones” and “Stargate” from writer-director Eric Parkinson.

THE MEAT MAN – a terrifying thriller inspired by the true story of a door-to-door serial killer in Oklahoma in the 1960’s, from writer-director Jack Dexter.

LIFE LESSONS – a faith-based road-movie to film in Texas and Missouri about a father sharing wisdom with his daughters, written by Wes Gillum.

Other feature projects in active development for filming during 2027 include:

JOURNEY TO UTOPIA – a family-appeal fantasy adventure, produced as a hybrid of live-action and CGI / AI animation, from writer Mike Snyder.

MODERN ANTIQUITIES – an inspiring story of dreams lost and treasures found set against the world of rare stamp collecting. From writer-director Eric Parkinson.

BIGFOOT PROPHECIES – a thrilling creature feature about a hunt for Bigfoot in Oklahoma that turns on the hunters. Written and directed by Christian K. Large.

SHADOWLANDS – inspired by a Native American legend, a Zuni shaman in New Mexico battles an evil force in a dream-like world. Written by Phoenix Ghost.

More information on these feature projects will be published onto the Hannover website at www.HannoverHouse.com, as well as with listings on www.IMDB.com.

Hannover House released the first-look trailer for the JOLLY feature on Friday, Sept. 4. The initial consumer response has been solid, with over 220,000 views on YouTube prior to the launch of national ads through Horror publications and social media.

“The response to the trailer has been phenomenal,” said Parkinson. “The movie looks like something audiences would expect from a $100-million-dollar budget, so kudos to Arthur G. Night for delivering a film with top shelf quality for a micro-budget. It’s truly remarkable and really showcases what a smart and competent director and team can create by maximizing the best elements of traditional filmmaking and the newest in photo-realistic software capabilities. We think Jolly is going to be the next major indie-horror hit for 2026, as a title that really over-performs at the box office.”

Hannover House remains active in with its original core business of book publishing. A new book from best-selling author Barr McClellan (“Made in the USA” and “Blood, Money and Power: How LBJ Killed JFK”) was just released last week by Hannover House. “American Manifesto: The Winning Campaign Strategies of President Donald J. Trump” presents an insider’s view of the marketing, publicity, advertising and social media strategies implemented by the Trump campaign in 2024 to deliver an unexpected victory. The book is currently available on Amazon.com, and will be expanded in the coming weeks to mainstream retail bookstores.
