When I first went to the link in the preceding post I got very excited. Then I decided to check on how Lonsurf + Avastin did in their large Phase 3 trial. This is a link to what I found by Googling it:

Here's the meat of it:
In the pivotal Phase 3 SUNLIGHT clinical trial, which led to the FDA approval of Lonsurf (trifluridine/tipiracil) combined with Avastin (bevacizumab) for refractory metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), the percentage of patients who achieved stable disease or tumor shrinkage (known as the Disease Control Rate, or DCR) was 77%.
Total Tumor Shrinkage: 48% of patients experienced some degree of target tumor shrinkage from baseline. Objective Response Rate (ORR): 6% of patients had significant tumor shrinkage meeting the criteria for a formal partial or complete response. Stable Disease: The remaining portion of the 77% DCR maintained stable disease without further progression.
If Ryan Morrison's numbers are correct, the DCR from our trial after ONLY 8 weeks is 23/31=74%. I'm hoping the more knowledgeable members here can put this in perspective for me. Is this a big deal, little deal or no deal?
