SPARC AI (CSE: SPAI) (OTCQB: SPAIF) (Frankfurt: 5OV0) announced successful flight tests in which its Overwatch Positioning Network calculated target locations while the drone camera was fully covered. During the tests, the Overwatch API calculated target coordinates entirely from flight telemetry, demonstrating that the platform does not rely on image recognition or pre-loaded reference imagery for its positioning calculations.
The telemetry-only architecture is designed to provide positioning in GPS-denied and zero-visibility environments without requiring hardware or software to be installed on the aircraft. SPARC AI said Overwatch uses standard flight-controller telemetry and outputs latitude, longitude and time, allowing drone manufacturers to integrate the API as a backup, blended or primary positioning source when satellite navigation is jammed or unavailable.
