What I find encouraging
The interesting part isn't simply that CYDY moved above $0.20. It's that the stock spent much of early August around $0.185–$0.195, repeatedly held that area, and is now beginning to trade above $0.20. That looks more like accumulation/base-building than the sharp one-day speculative spikes we've seen historically.
Fundamentally, the story is also substantially more interesting than it was a year or two ago. CytoDyn has completed enrollment in the CLOVER Phase 2 colorectal cancer study, has an expanded-access program in TNBC, and has started the SALIENT-AD Phase 2a Alzheimer's study with Weill Cornell Medicine.
But I think CLOVER is the big one.
The market is probably beginning to appreciate that we are approaching the point where the leronlimab story becomes much more binary: the clinical data either validate the biology or they don't.
The levels I'd watch
I'd pay particular attention to $0.23–$0.24. Yesterday's $0.2342 high makes that an obvious near-term hurdle. A convincing move through that area with substantially increased volume would get my attention.
After that, I'd watch roughly $0.25, then the previous higher trading areas around $0.30, and ultimately the 52-week high around $0.40. The current 52-week range is approximately $0.18–$0.40.
What would be especially significant to me would be CYDY moving higher before a major CLOVER announcement. That could indicate investors are increasingly willing to position ahead of the data. It wouldn't prove anyone knows the results—OTC biotech stocks can move for many reasons—but it would show a meaningful shift in market expectations.
Good safety → encouraging.
Good biomarkers → more encouraging.
ctDNA improvement → potentially important.
Objective clinical benefit/PFS → transformative.
If CLOVER ultimately demonstrates that adding leronlimab to Lonsurf + bevacizumab produces a meaningful improvement over the control arm—particularly if the clinical results line up with the ctDNA, CCR5, PD-L1 and immune-microenvironment biology—then we're no longer talking primarily about a speculative CCR5 hypothesis.
We would be talking about a randomized clinical signal in metastatic colorectal cancer.
That's the point where I believe the valuation discussion changes dramatically.
Conversely, if the clinical endpoints don't confirm the biomarker story, the current strengthening could reverse quickly. CYDY remains an OTC, clinical-stage biotech, so even encouraging price action carries substantial risk.
My read today: I'm more interested in CYDY at $0.21–$0.22 with a gradually strengthening chart than I would be if it suddenly jumped to $0.35 on speculation. Quiet accumulation while CLOVER matures is a healthier setup.
And if we start seeing $0.24–$0.25 break on 3–5+ million shares, I'd consider that a materially different development.
