ParaZero Technologies (NASDAQ: PRZO) provided an update on its DefendAir platform, an active, non-explosive protection system designed to defend vehicles and other high-value assets against first-person-view (“FPV”) attack drones. The company said the autonomous, sensor-driven system is intended to neutralize high-speed aerial threats while providing a lightweight, retrofit solution for existing armored platforms without the collateral risks associated with explosive countermeasures.
ParaZero said development of DefendAir is being accelerated through engagements with Tier-1 defense partners as the company works to advance the platform toward field-ready deployment. Management believes the technology addresses the growing need for active protection systems as defense organizations seek more effective ways to counter the increasing use of low-cost, high-lethality FPV drones.
