Like Icarus, Cytodyn has been singed by coming too close to the edge of hype under the Nader/Christine Corrado era. We know they have been “having discussions” as it has come up in past investor updates and I suspect that that kind of PR may not slide the price needle up quite like a PR with breakthrough clinical trial results. The company has demonstrated they can be on both sides of the PR spectrum and we know where the current bias is. I do wish there would be a PR on updates with things legitimately on the table…has the AD trial been fully enrolled? That trial IMHO is extremely low risk high reward for a patient and I would think could enroll quite rapidly, setting a two month clock for results in a high attention disease. Some things we are hearing about anecdotally from Dr Jay in an interview with nothing more specific: a trial for pancreatic cancer?
The bias is tilted strongly on the side of holding a PR to when things move to actually firming up with agreements/contracts and actual trial results. Perhaps those come together when we get deeper into the read out of the CRC trial late summer.
